Die Wärme des Netzes

Der Winter ist ausgebrochen in Wien, schnatterdipatter, aber ich habe immerhin wieder Internetz zuhause:-) Außerdem gehe ich heute Abend ins Wiener net.culture.lab, das im Museumsquartier heute abend offiziell eröffnet wird – Eintritt frei!!!

Wer ein Netzkultur-Projekt im Sinn hat oder anleiern möchte, kann sich dort ebenfalls einfinden und dann als Mitglied das Lab und dessen Räumlichkeiten 24h am Tag, 7 Tage die Woche nutzen:-)

EDIT: I am getting confused. I had wanted to post this on my German blog – good I am not trying to keep the two secret from each other!

  2. Did not get a word for that! By the way, does german have a different script, say like Chinese or Japanese??

Nono,German has the same old Latin script that English uses; there used to be a thing called German cursive script which is often interpreted as a Nazi script (but the Nazis where actually the ones that got rid of it). It had the same alphabet, but letters looked different, both in print and handwriting. The greatgrandparents of my generation still used it – the result being that we now struggle to read their old documents and letters. I still learned it at school, but only as part of a one month course.
