Nevertheless, there was still far too much material out there ('webfilms'), so I had to just exclude certain stuff (in my case, any Flash animations which were big at the time, due to lower bandwitdh requirements).

The same is true of theory and methodology - there is so much out there that can be used and utilised, and how to decide what is right for your research? 

The good thing though is that it's not really intellectually very challenging to do a PhD - it's more about organising your time, being able to structure and manage the process and the vast amount of material. The actual 'thinking' bit is easy :)</description>
