I think employers are definitely interested to know that you're 'hooked up' to the whole web 2.0 thing (if it's for a digital role). I would only give them the URL if they explicitly ask for it - in all other cases, I'd just include how long you've been blogging for, and what type of blog (i.e. non-business blog)</description>
