And it’s NOT in journalism, but it is going to be related to international theory celebs such as Lev Manovich. Manovich is coming to Vienna tomorrow, upon the invitation of my future boss. How frigging cool is that?

I really tore Manovich’s theories apart in my PhD thesis, as I thought they were quite teleogical and binary (cinema v. new media)

I edited the comments – and yes, I would commute, it’s about 85km from my doorstep.
Teleogical theories aren’t per se evil, because they allow us to see the limitations of our teleologies.
