So today I am going to go home and leave the forum. While I am writing this, I am eavesdropping on a phone conversation between the owner of this internet café who is calling his daughter’s teacher to complain about her incompetency as an educator. Quite interesting. Parents in Germany have become VERY concerned about the quality of teaching their children receive, meaning that the teaching profession is becoming increasingly difficult. I am glad that I am not the one who has to decide between what’s true or false in this case. He’s talking to her right now – or has been silent/silenced for a while now. I am sooo looking forward to a future where I won’t be in charge of and responsible for someone else’s education any more (as people seem to increasingly believe that going to school means to give the responsibility for your learning to someone else).
