Both provide excellent photographic opportunities. Dogs are in a permanent state of happy excitement, which just isn't quite as much fun. I think cats are so popular on the internet because they fit into 2 categories: cute or fun to annoy (or already annoyed). Both provide excellent photographic opportunities.
